The Wildwoods Air Show will return Sept. 12 and 13, bringing an array of military aircraft, historic warbirds, aerobatic performers and parachutists to the skies above the Jersey Shore.
The aerial performances will take place over the ocean, with the show centered between Morey’s Mariner’s Pier and Adventure Pier. Spectators will be able to watch from locations along the Wildwoods’ beaches and Boardwalk.
The show will run from approximately noon to 3 p.m. each day, with the same lineup scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. General admission is free, and no tickets or advance registration are required.
Headlining the 2026 show will be the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team. The F-22 is the world’s first operational fifth-generation fighter, combining stealth technology, advanced sensors, speed and maneuverability.
Powered by two engines producing more than 35,000 pounds of thrust each, the aircraft can exceed twice the speed of sound. Its Wildwoods appearance will feature a series of aerial maneuvers demonstrating the Raptor’s power and agility.
A hometown connection will come from the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing, based in Egg Harbor Township. The unit will perform an F-16 flyover above the Wildwoods show line.
The program will also feature Randy Ball flying a restored MiG-17F, a Cold War-era fighter known for its speed, maneuverability and service during the Vietnam War.
A restored P-51D Mustang named “Jacqueline” will represent an earlier period of military aviation. Flown by Thom Richard on behalf of the American Airpower Museum, the aircraft honors pioneering aviator Jacqueline Cochran. The P-51 Mustang became one of the most recognizable fighter planes of World War II.
The Jersey Jerks will perform a precision formation routine in North American SNJ/T-6 Texans. Nicknamed the “Pilot Maker,” the aircraft was used to train generations of military aviators.
Kevin Russo will also take to the skies in a restored 1944 SNJ-6 Texan. Russo is a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve lieutenant colonel, former American Airlines captain and corporate pilot with more than 31,000 hours of flight experience.
Several civilian aerobatic pilots will add loops, rolls, spins and vertical climbs to the program.
Patrick McAlee will fly his custom Pitts S1S, known as the “Blue Demon,” at speeds reaching 235 mph. Former United States Unlimited Aerobatic Team member David Windmiller will perform in an Edge 540, while RJ Gritter will demonstrate aerobatic precision in a patriotic Decathlon.
The nationally recognized RE/MAX Skydiving Team will round out the lineup with a parachuting demonstration highlighting timing, teamwork and aerial skill.
Visitors may bring chairs, blankets, umbrellas and wagons to the beach. Outside alcohol is prohibited. Food, beverages and sponsor activities will be available throughout the event area.
Upgraded viewing packages are available for spectators seeking reserved space or additional amenities. Beach Boxes include a reserved 12-by-12-foot space along the show line, chairs for four guests, access to dedicated concessions and restrooms, and a parking pass. Front-row boxes include premium chairs and an umbrella.
The Shore Club offers per-person hospitality packages with catered food, an open bar, shaded seating, air-conditioned restrooms and VIP parking.
A free public meet-and-greet with pilots and parachutists will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at MudHen Brewing Co. in Wildwood.
The air show is scheduled to proceed rain or shine, although aerial performances may be adjusted because of weather or safety considerations.
