Atlantic City International Airport is pleased to confirm new nonstop service to Miami International Airport (MIA), further expanding its South Florida offerings and strengthening its role as a key regional gateway.  The new route, operated by Spirit Airlines, is a strategic addition that aligns with rising demand for leisure travel and connectivity to Florida’s Atlantic coast.  The new, seasonal route will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday with four weekly flights beginning August 13, 2025.

“Our team has been working closely with Spirit Airlines for several months to bring this new service to our travelers,” said Stephen F. Dougherty, Executive Director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority, the owner/operator of the airport. “Miami is a natural fit for ACY, and this new nonstop route will provide passengers with even more convenient options.  We’re thrilled to welcome the expansion and look forward to celebrating with Spirit and the public as launch day approaches.”

“We know many of our Atlantic City Guests enjoy traveling to South Florida, and we’re excited to make it easier to visit Miami and enjoy the city’s beautiful beaches, unique culture and exciting nightlife,” said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines.  “Our new nonstop service to Miami offers ACY travelers another option to reach Florida alongside our nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Palm Beach.”

This new route follow the airline’s recent upgrade of its Free Spirit® loyalty program and introduction of its extra-legroom seating option.
