Beacon Animal Rescue, the nonprofit, volunteer-based, animal rescue serving Cape May, Atlantic and Cumberland counties, will host its third-annual Golf Fundraiser noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Big Little Nine in Cape May Court House.
Recently upgraded to near Augusta-like conditions, this is the third year that Big Little Nine, owned and operated by Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Water Parks, will host Beacon for a fun, family-friendly day of nine holes sprawling over 89 serene acres of meadows, willow oak trees, ponds, and waterfalls. Big Little Nine is an inviting par-3 course that offers a fun ambiance and a satisfying challenge for golfers.
“Beacon Animal Rescue cherishes its partnerships with Morey’s Piers, both at its annual PigDog Puppapalooza event at the end of summer and now with our golf fundraiser at BigLittle Nine, which is more spectacular than ever thanks to recent upgrades,” said Ryan Parker, executive director of Beacon Animal Rescue.
This year there’s an added bonus: MudHen Brewing Co. will be on-site, providing its award-winning beers to thirsty golfers.
“Having MudHen Brewing Co. on board certainly helps round out what is sure to be another great day of golf,” said Parker.
The golf fundraiser event is open to experienced and novice golfers of all ages. The cost is $40 per golfer, with a portion of proceeds going directly to support Beacon’s lifesaving mission.
