Atlantic City

Jackson Avenue and the Boardwalk
The Saracini-O’Neil 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will include the Sandpipers Pipes & Drums of Atlantic County providing music and patriotic songs, a 40-ton patriotic themed sand sculpture by world renowned artist John Gowdy, Last Salute’s three round Civil War Cannon volley, and a memorial flag presentation. This year, Atlantic City native, Lt. Cmdr. Shane Fox, U.S. Navy (ret.) will be honored with the 2026 Hero Award. Street parking is available on Atlantic Avenue and adjacent cross streets.
Brigantine

Brigantine Fire and EMS Department, 1417 W. Brigantine Avenue
Please join the community in remembering and honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001. The Brigantine Fire and EMS Departments will dedicate and incorporate a piece of steel recovered from Ground Zero. The piece will serve as a lasting reminder of the lives lost, sacrifices made, and resilience of our nation and community.
Egg Harbor Township

Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company, 6550 Mill Road
Join Bargaintown VFC in honoring the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on 9/11. This year’s guest speakers will include Darrin Czellecz, retired U.S. Secret Service Agent who served in Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2001. Bill Higbee of Cardif Volunteer Fire Company and former Task Force 1 member will recollect his response at Ground Zero.
Galloway Township

Beacon Church, 420 S. Sixth Avenue
Galloway Township remembers 9/11 this Friday. All are invited to join in reflection honoring our heroes. Members of the Galloway Township Police Department, Fire Department, and Ambulance Squad will be in attendance.
Longport
- 9 a.m.
Thomas B. Reed Park, 28th & Ventnor Avenue
Members of the public are invited to join American Legion Post 469 at Reed Park, near the Longport bridge, for a brief but meaningful ceremony remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Margate
- 9 a.m.
Margate City Fire Department Station 1, 1 S. Washington Avenue
The public is invited to a memorial service to honor those who lost their lives in New York City, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pa. on 9/11. The ceremony will include prayer by local clergy, music tributes, and comments by local dignitaries.
Ocean City

Join the community for a Remembrance Ceremony on 9/11. The program will be organized by Somers Point Police Chief Michael Sweeny and will include Guest Speaker Jack Glasser, Retired USAF and former Mayor of Somers Point.
Upper Township
- 10 a.m.
Sgt. William R. Godfrey Memorial Park, 1731 Route 9, Seaville
A Patriot Day service will be held this Friday at Osprey Point. U.S. Army veteran and local resident James Joyce will serve as this year’s host. A flag honoring and memorializing U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Jackson Thornton will be presented to the community. Members of the Upper Township Rescue Squad and Fire Departments will be in attendance. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Osprey Point Clubhouse.
