The Marjorie & Lewis Katz Jewish Community Center (JCC) is gearing up for its 2026 Summer Series, bringing a season of live music, comedy and can’t-miss performances to Margate.  The series features a mix of entertainment for all ages, beginning with the B-Street Band on Wednesday, July 1; headliner Elon Gold on Thursday, July 9; the Israeli Tzofim Friendship Caravan on Thursday, Aug. 6; and Neil Berg’s “100 Years of Broadway” on Thursday, Aug. 13.  All performances begin at 7 p.m. in the Marjorie & Lewis Katz JCC auditorium.

“After so many years of watching this series grow, what stands out most is the excitement it brings to our community,” said Marg Rosenblatt, CEO of the Marjorie & Lewis Katz JCC. “Each summer, you can feel the energy build as people come together.  We watch friends reconnecting, families making plans, and everyone looking forward to a great night out. It’s one of the most special traditions we have.”

The series opens with the B-Street Band, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band founded in Asbury Park that has built a loyal following across the region. Known for its high-energy performances and authentic sound, the band captures the spirit of Springsteen’s live shows, delivering crowd favorites that keep audiences on their feet from start to finish. Their deep connection to the Jersey Shore music scene makes them a natural fit to kick off a summer celebration.

On July 9, headliner Elon Gold takes the stage, bringing a nationally recognized comedy act to Margate.  Elon Gold is the kind of talent typically seen in major venues throughout Atlantic City and beyond. A seasoned comedian, actor and writer, Gold has performed stand-up on some of the country’s biggest stages and is widely known for his sharp observational humor, quick improvisation and relatable storytelling. His comedy special, “Chosen & Taken,” and numerous television appearances have earned him a devoted following, and his live performances are known for feeling both polished and personal.  Bringing a performer of Gold’s caliber to a more intimate community setting is a rare opportunity. Audiences can expect a night of big laughs and high-level entertainment, just minutes from home.

The Israeli Tzofim Friendship Caravan returns Aug. 6 with a family-friendly performance featuring music, dance and audience participation. For decades, the Caravan has toured North America each summer, strengthening cultural connections and fostering a sense of unity across generations.

The series concludes Aug. 13 with “100 Years of Broadway,” created by Neil Berg, featuring professional performers celebrating some of Broadway’s most beloved songs and productions.

“Leading the planning for the Summer Series is something I loved doing this year,” said Helene Hordes, JCC board member and Summer Series chairperson. “There’s so much joy in bringing this level of talent to our community and knowing how much people will enjoy each performance. It’s incredibly rewarding to see it all come together.”

Gold Patron packages are available for $380 and include premium seating in the exclusive Gold Patron section for all performances, along with a name listing in the event playbill. Silver Patron packages are available for $236. Series Patron tickets provide reserved seating for all Summer Series events. Individual tickets are also available: B-Street Band, $45; Elon Gold, $118; Israeli Tzofim Friendship Caravan, $36; and “100 Years of Broadway,” $65.
