Larry Goldberg, the founder of Boxing Insider Promotions, was honored by the Atlantic City Police Athletic League during the graduation ceremony for the Public Safety Civilian Academy Class of 2025. Goldberg was presented with the Excellence Award for his generous support and charitable contributions to the PAL’s amateur boxing program. The award recognizes Goldberg’s unwavering commitment to helping raise vital funds that allow Atlantic City youth to grow, succeed, and thrive through the PAL Boxing program. The organization expressed deep gratitude for his continued dedication and community leadership.
In November, Boxing Insider joined with AC PAL to host the Battle of the Beach Amateur Showcase—with 100% of proceeds benefiting PAL youth programs. This was the second amateur show for AC PAL that Goldberg organized. He plans to bring more PAL Boxing events to Atlantic City where young fighters compete under the same lights as the pros. For many of these young athletes, boxing provides structure, mentorship, emotional support, and a path to self-belief.
Goldberg first made waves in the boxing world as the founder of BoxingInsider.com, one of the sport’s pioneering digital media platforms. He transitioned to promotion, launching a successful series of Fight Nights at New York City’s Sony Hall. His shows were so successful that the New York Boxing Hall of Fame named him “Promoter of the Year.”
The Margate native then turned his sights back home. In May 2024, Goldberg brought professional boxing back to Tropicana Atlantic City after a seven-year hiatus. Boxing Insider’s next professional event is scheduled for March 2026, once again in the Tropicana Showroom.
