The Atlantic County Animal Shelter has announced free adoptions of dogs and cats available for immediate adoption and ready to go home the same day beginning Saturday, July 5 through Saturday, July 12.
The normal adoption fees of $110 for dogs and $85 for cats will be waived during this week-long promotion event.
All pets adopted from the shelter receive mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and free veterinary consultation. Canines adopted from the shelter are also provided free obedience classes.
The shelter is located at 240 Old Turnpike Road in Pleasantville and is open to the public 1-4 pm each day. Appointments are not necessary.
