Ocean City will celebrate Labor Day with its 35th annual Labor Day Race on the beach at 23rd Street on Monday, Sept. 7. The beach runs include a 5-mile race on the beach from 23rdStreet to 46th Street and back, along with a 1-mile health walk/run from 23rd Street to 18th Street and back. Vocalist and songwriter Camille K will join Vince Lee and the Vince League Superstars band to perform an evening on David Bowie music at the Ocean City Music Pier at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2. “Starman: The Best of David Bowie” will include “Space Oddity” (his first No. 1 hit), “Fame,” as well as one of the most beloved and unusual duets in music history! The Ocean City Pops will perform “Dinosaurs, Aliens, & Adventure: The Movie Music of John Williams” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Music Pier. With a career spanning eight remarkable decades, the music of John Williams has touched the lives of millions around the world. Having worked with Mr. Williams, Maestro Vince Lee has become one of the premier interpreters of his music. Expect to hear big hits (“Star Wars,” “Jaws”), epic soundscapes (“War Horse,” “Far & Away”), along with the music that has become synonymous with the Olympic Games.

The popular weekly Farmers Market on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle will be open 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The market features the best of fresh produce from local farms in the region, along with a variety of craft vendors. The final Farmers Market of the season will be on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Ocean City Airport Festival (Sept. 19): Annual festival at the Municipal Airport (26th and Bay Ave.) features a ground display of unusual and classic airplanes and a parachute jump from Team Fastrax. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Parachute Pyrotechnic Show (Sept. 19): An 8 p.m. show includes the Team Fastrax parachute team creating a dazzling display of lights and pyrotechnics for spectators on the ground. The show is viewable along the entire Boardwalk with the landing area on the beach at Seventh Street.
Boardwalk Aerobatic Airshow (Sept. 20): Some of the best stunt pilots and aerobatic champions in the world put on a display starting at 1 p.m. and best viewed from the beach and boardwalk from Fifth Street to 14th Street.
