Beer enthusiasts have the opportunity to help crown the Best Brewery of 2026 in Atlantic and Cape May counties through a public voting contest hosted by the Down the Shore Facebook page.
In addition to the winning brewery, five finalists will be recognized. Voters who participate will be entered into a drawing to win gift cards from their favorite breweries. Winners will be selected on Labor Day 2026.
The contest is sponsored by 7DayMaids.com, which is providing the awards, recognition and gift cards.
The breweries nominated this year are Hidden Sands, Slack Tide, Gusto, Somers Point, Ludlam Island, Behr, Meyers Lighthouse, Obscure, Cold Spring, MudHen, The Seed, Garden State Beer Co., Cape May Brewing Co., Buena Connection, Three 3’s, Snouts and Stouts, and Anglesea Aleworks.
The contest highlights the region’s thriving craft beer industry and the local breweries that have become popular gathering places for residents and visitors alike. Many breweries host special events, live entertainment and themed nights while offering a wide variety of craft beers.
For those who prefer to enjoy local brews at home, many of the nominated breweries distribute their products through area liquor stores, making their beers widely available throughout the region.
Organizers encourage residents to visit the participating breweries, support local businesses and cast their vote. Voting is limited to one vote per person and continues through Monday, Sept. 7.
