Copyeditor and writer James FitzPatrick has been a community journalist in Atlantic and Cape May counties for more than 30 years, working for The Ocean City Sentinel, The Cape May Star and Wave, The SandPaper, and The Current newspapers, where he led the newsroom for more than 20 years. He grew up in Linwood, attended Mainland Regional High School and graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in creative writing.
