South Jersey Democratic Women’s Forum (SJDWF) hosted “Speed Rating the Candidates” on March 23 at the American Legion Post 295, 232 Mill Road, Northfield, NJ., featuring five of the Democratic candidates for New Jersey’s Second Congressional District: Tim Alexander, William Finn, Zachary Mullock, Terri Reese, Bayly Winder.
Designed to give voters direct and meaningful access to the candidates, the event will follow a structured “speed rating” format. Each candidate rotated from table to table, spending a designated amount of time answering questions from small groups of constituents before moving to the next group. There was no scripted program and no pre-submitted questions, allowing for authentic dialogue and real-time engagement between candidates and voters.
“This event is about transparency, accessibility, and empowering voters,” said Maureen Leidy, President of the South Jersey Democratic Women’s Forum.
