Showboat Atlantic City and owner Bart Blatstein are offering the Island Waterpark to host a fundraiser for critically injured Atlantic City Police Officer Sgt. Christian Ivanov, who was shot during a warrant service Tuesday. Sgt. Ivanov is a SWAT Sergeant, a husband and father of three young children.
“Showboat appreciates what our ACPD officers do every single day to protect our community,” said Blatstein, highlighting the need to support local heroes. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the two Atlantic City police officers who were wounded and the entire Atlantic City Police Department during this difficult time.”
The venue aims to support the officer, who is still hospitalized and expected to have a long road to recovery. A date this month is being selected for the event. Further details are being finalized in collaboration with the ACPD. More information will be provided once a date is selected for the fundraiser.
