Holy Spirit Fall Fest

Sunday, November 22nd from 12-5pm

500 S. New Rd. Absecon

Join Holy Spirit High School for a day of fall family fun while supporting the school. There will be local fare served up by the area’s finest food trucks. There will also be a beer tent featuring local seasonal brews. Joining in on the fun will be unique vendors selling a vast array of merchandise, live music, and entertainment for the entire family. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.

Holiday Light Show on the Lake

Thursday-Sunday from 5:30-8:30pm starting Thanksgiving

Historic Smithville  615 E. Moss Mill Rd.

Christmas Trees made from over 50,000 Christmas lights magically float over Lake Meone in the center of Historic Smithville. The moment darkness falls, an orchestrated show of lights and music is played out across the lake. The lights dance and chase each other to the music all the while reflecting of the water’s surface. The show can be seen from either side of the village as well as the bridge. The show runs in loops of about 30 minutes, so anytime you arrive from 5:30-8:30, you will be able to catch the entire show.

Dream Catcher: Take and Make Craft

November is National Native American Heritage Month. New Day Family Success Center is going to be celebrating by making dream catchers. We will talk about the symbolism behind different aspects of the dream catcher and talk about some of the tribes that would be local to the Galloway area. You’re invited to Ocean City Public Library’s Storywalk featuring Julia Donaldson’s “The Gruffalo.” Read a fun book while taking a walk and enjoying nature. Scan QR codes placed in the park to register to participate. Every family that completes the scavenger hunt will be entered for a special prize at the end of November. Operation Warm 2020

Rotary Club of Ocean City – Upper Township has announced the kick-off for this year’s 2020 “Operation Warm” project here in South Jersey to raise funds for purchasing new winter coats for economically disadvantaged children in our local communities.
