Ocean City Fishing Pier Open House

14th Street and the Boardwalk
The Ocean City Fishing Club invites the public and shutterbugs to tour its pier and clubhouse this Thursday. Visitors will also be able to make a monetary donation or drop off canned goods to support the Ocean City Food Cupboard. This is one of two days a year when the pier is open to non-members. South Jersey Lifeguard Championships

As one of America’s oldest lifeguard races, the South Jersey Lifeguard Championships welcome all fifteen beach patrols from Brigantine to Cape May for an exciting evening of competition. Events include the Doubles Row, Ocean Swim, and Captain G. Murray Wolf Singles Row. Avalon enters this year’s races aiming for their third straight title.
Legacy Concerts on the Beach in Somers Point

Pack your beach chairs and blankets and head to the beach in Somers Point for a spectacular tribute to the Allman Brothers performed by Melody Trucks, Vaylor Trucks, the Fitzkee Brothers, and Ryan Gregg. The concert is hosted by Tony Mart Presents.

Ocean City celebrates the 250th anniversary of our nation with a weekly patriotic drone show over the beach and boardwalk. The show will feature hundreds of drones lighting up the night sky, creating animations that salute America. The 15-minute shows will be held after dusk on Mondays through Aug. 24.

Join Ocean City for this beloved annual event. Families, kids, businesses, and organizations are invited to enter their crustacean in this annual beauty contest. The winner will receive the Coveted Cucumber Rind Cup and walk down a flowery runway. The Hermit Crab Races will take place shortly thereafter. Watch as some of the fastest crabs in the universe compete in this world famous race. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m.
