The 25th Annual Art of Surfing

The Art of Surfing Festival celebrates, exhibits, and commemorates surf culture in South Jersey with a full weekend of surf art, boards, music, and good vibes. Dozens of local artists will converge for the three-day long event, with appearances from local businesses, and live music from local bands. DQ Miracle Treat Day

Join Dairy Queen in Absecon for a day of music, entertainment, raffles, games, prizes, and more. Proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold will go towards Child Life and Patient and Family Servies at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Ocean City Fishing Pier Open House
- 6 – 8 p.m.
14th Street and the Boardwalk
The Ocean City Fishing Club invites the public and shutterbugs to tour its pier and clubhouse this Thursday. Visitors will also be able to make a monetary donation or drop off canned goods to support the Ocean City Food Cupboard. This is one of two days a year when the pier is open to non-members. Weather Permitting. Rain date: Friday, July 31.
Thrilling Thursday Movies on the Beach

Huntington Avenue Beach, Margate
Enjoy a free movie on the beach to end the day every Thursday between the bulkhead and dunes. Grab your beach chairs and blankets and watch ‘Jaws’ on screen this Thursday, July 30 along with pre-movie activities and food available for purchase. Plus, mark your calendars for a screening of ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ on Thursday, August 6.

Dutch Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard Races
- 6:30 p.m.
Lincoln Avenue Beach, Wildwood
This annual beach patrol competition will bring South Jersey Beach Patrols from Atlantic and Cape May Counties together. The lifeguard race will consist of several events including rescue boards, rowing, swimming, and running. Awards will take place after the race. This event is sponsored by the Wildwood Beach Patrol honoring the memory of Captain Frank “Dutch” Hoffman.
Legacy Concerts on the Beach in Somers Point

William Morrow Beach, 800 Bay Avenue
Pack your beach chairs and blankets and head to the beach in Somers Point for an evening of classic rock featuring the legendary Mitch Ryder. The Michigan native is best known for top hits such as “Devil with a Blue Dress On”, “C.C. Rider” and “Sock it To Me Baby”. Ryder will perform on-stage with the Tony Mart All-Stars. The concert is hosted by Tony Mart Presents.

Jimmy Mullins Memorial Flounder Tournament

The third annual Flounder Tournament will be held to benefit the Jimmy Mullins Memorial Scholarship Fund. The event will include great tournament prizes, door prizes, raffles and more. The Captain’s Meeting will be held on Friday, July 31, at 6 p.m. at Tight Lines Bait and Tackle. Lines in at 5 a.m. The awards party will take place at 4 p.m. with special guest, Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame Legend Brian Propp. Proceeds benefit scholarships for graduating students in the Marine Maintenance Program at Cape May County Technical High School.
Somers Point Farmers Market

Enjoy a pleasant Saturday morning at the Somers Point Farmers Market. Dozens of local food vendors will set up along the grounds of the Mansion, along with crafters, and locally-owned businesses. The market is open Saturdays throughout the summer.
Spirit Halloween Opening

Get ready for the Halloween season this Saturday at Spirit Halloween’s flagship store in EHT. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. with games, special prizes, entertainment, food, and beverages for purchase. The store will open at 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting outside the store. There will also be special giveaways and swag bags available to fans on-site.
Lucy the Elephant Birthday Celebration

Ocean City celebrates the 250th anniversary of our nation with a weekly patriotic drone show over the beach and boardwalk. The show will feature hundreds of drones lighting up the night sky, creating animations that salute America. The 15-minute shows will be held after dusk on Mondays through August 24.
