Low-income Atlantic County residents 60 years and older may receive a $40 credit to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs at participating local farmers markets beginning in May through November 30, 2026.
The Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services will provide the credits at six distribution events between May 20 and June 24 to interested residents who meet the age and income eligibility guidelines established by the state: annual gross income that does not exceed $2,461 per month or $29,526 per year for a single person and $3,337 per month or $40,034 annually for a couple.
Residents who are unable to attend any of these in-person events may call the division to apply on Monday, June 29 at 1-888-426-9243. Phone applications will not be accepted prior to this date.
Applicants must provide identification, proof of income and proof of residency. Those who meet the requirements will receive a QR code with a $40 balance that can be used all at once or in multiple trips to participating farmers markets. QR codes are non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Once confirmed, a list of markets will be available online at atlanticcountynj.gov.
