Classic rock legend Mitch Ryder returns to the Jersey Shore for two special performances, bringing his unmistakable voice and a catalog of 17 chart hits, including 10 Top 10 singles and three gold records.
Fans can expect favorites such as the iconic “Devil With a Blue Dress On.”
Joining Ryder will be the Tony Mart Allstars, a 10-piece ensemble celebrating the music and legacy of the artists who helped define rock ‘n’ roll.
South Jersey favorite Danny Eyer will pay tribute to Bill Haley, performing classics including “Honky Tonk,” while Howard Isaacson and Bugzy honor Bill Haley and Duane Eddy, both of whom performed at Tony Mart’s in 1963.
Isaacson will also showcase his No. 1 contemporary jazz hit, “Light of Day,” with the Allstars, while Bugzy takes on the role of Joey Dee with a performance of “Peppermint Twist.”
“Big Bob” Ernano will perform Del Shannon’s No. 1 hit “Runaway,” followed later by the Allman Brothers’ classic “Whipping Post.” He will also join the full ensemble for “I Shall Be Released,” led by blues vocalist Sharon Garland, whose powerhouse performance will include a tribute to classic Chicago blues.
Eyer returns for several high-energy finales, including “Shout” and Joe Cocker and Leon Russell’s unforgettable version of “With a Little Help From My Friends.”
“Old School” Jimmy Glenn will perform Bruce Springsteen’s beloved Jersey anthem “Rosalita,” while acclaimed South Jersey vocalist Patty Balbo pays tribute to Janis Joplin with “Piece of My Heart” before saluting several legendary female blues and rock performers.
The nearly three-hour celebration began at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Mardi Gras on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City and then does it all again at 7 p.m. Friday, July 31, at the Legacy Concerts on the Beach in Somers Point.
