Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. announced the Atlantic City Aquarium, which has been closed since 2020, will reopen on July 1, 2024. This much-anticipated event follows an extensive period of renovations, both interior and exterior, aimed at revitalizing and upgrading the facility. The completion of the interior renovations marks a significant milestone in the Aquarium’s refurbishment journey, with the exterior renovations now in the works. These external improvements are made possible through funding from the American Rescue Plan.
The reopening of the Aquarium is expected to be a major draw for both locals and tourists, offering renewed opportunities for educational and interactive experiences with marine life.
