JOIN US FOR A “FACEBOOK LIVE” CLIMB AT 1:30PM
Absecon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest and the country’s third tallest masonry light, is celebrating the 165th anniversary of the lighting of its historic first-order Fresnel Lens, first lit on January 15, 1857. We normally attract a crowd with free cake and climbs, but this year, we need to stay safe, and so we’re hosting a “Facebook Live” Climb at 1:30pm. Sit back and relax while you pretend to climb a lighthouse! In-person guests will also be treated to a “2-4-1” climbing special on Saturday, 1/15. In honor of Atlantic City’s beloved oldest structure, we are accepting donations to keep this iconic light shining, to be mailed to 31 S. Rhode Island Ave., Atlantic City, NJ, 08401. Upon receipt, you will receive a personal thank you from our dear Abby commemorating your donation, as your kindness will be so appreciated!
Absecon Lighthouse is a state-owned historic property administered by the non-profit Inlet Public/Private Association. Located at 31 So.
