This Nov. 19 from 5 to 9 p.m., Motivated Mommies is hosting its Holiday Sip and Shop at Renault Winery. With over 50 vendors, it will be the ultimate shopping experience, full of connecting, finding new local businesses to support and experiencing community in full swing.
Motivated Mommies is a South Jersey-based community organization that started as a support network online for mothers. In 2017, one local woman, Morgan Orlowski, started this community forum online during her first pregnancy. She started it with her friends simply as a way to garner support, advice and build a community of women supporting each other.
“I always liked connecting with people. I just wanted support and to have a place for people to lean on others as I was embarking on a new chapter in my life,” Orlowski said. “From the start, the group very naturally kept growing with local moms hearing about it and joining. Before we knew it, the group went from like 10 of us to 500.”
Today, Motivated Mommies is more than just an online community of women. It has now grown into a business and hosts yearly events meant to bring the community together and support local businesses.
Twice a year, in November and April, the Motivated Mommies group now hosts Sip and Shop events.
This will be the seventh Sip and Shop event that Orlowski has put on with Motivated Mommies, and she shared that each time, the events and attendance just get bigger and better.
“We hosted our first Sip and Shop in November 2023. I had 40 vendors take a chance on us, and I remember just crossing my fingers that people would show up. 500 people came that night and it was insane, I felt like I was on top of the world,” Orlowski said. “The vendors were happy, the vibes were there and I remember thinking to myself, ‘This is what I’m meant to do, we have to do this again.’”
And do it again they did. Now on their seventh event, the demand from businesses hoping to be a vendor has only grown.
Motivated Mommies also partners with the local nonprofit Everyone’s Children. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the organization in order to keep growing and supporting all facets of our community.
In addition to holiday shopping, champagne sipping and girl fun, this year there is a surprise element added to the night. The Dance Place Performance Company out of Ocean City will be doing a nine-minute performance to enhance the holiday cheer and make the event even more community-centered and lively.

“There is such a need to bring our community together, not just women and families and businesses but all of us together as a whole. The businesses can’t succeed without the community members and the community needs the businesses, we all need each other,” Orlowski said. “The more that we can work together the better off we all will be, and this event helps show that. It puts people in the same space together, all supporting each other. The growth of this event itself shows the need for it and we’re going to continue trying to do them bigger and better each year.”
