On Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, Kirk I. Eason, 42, of Egg Harbor Township, pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Donna Taylor to second-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, second-degree possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl, fourth-degree possession of hollow-point ammunition, and second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Eason is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison with five years of parole ineligibility.
On Jan. 22, 2025, search warrants were executed following an investigation into Eason’s alleged illegal narcotics distribution by the New Jersey State Police Crime Suppression South Unit and Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
Police recovered more than a half-ounce of cocaine, more than a half-ounce of heroin mixed with fentanyl, three firearms, two weapons determined not to be firearms and hollow-point ammunition from Eason’s residence. Eason was also found to have more than $1,700 on his person.
The New Jersey State Police Metro South Unit, Atlantic County SWAT, New Jersey State Police S.I.U. South and New Jersey State Police Hazardous Materials Response Unit assisted in executing the search warrants.
Eason will remain at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending sentencing, which is scheduled for Oct. 13, 2026.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit is prosecuting the case.
