In May 1981, Dolly Parton performed an extended concert engagement at Resorts International. Coming right off the massive success of her December 1980 film and chart-topping single “9 to 5,” the major Hollywood and pop-country superstar packed the 1500 seat Superstar Theater for five days in May. During her multi-day stint, Dolly participated in the casino’s “Entrance of the Stars” tradition. She left her signature and famously small handprints pressed into a concrete block. It remains today.
