On Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at approximately 8:58 p.m., the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the area of the Black Horse Pike and Fire Road for a motor vehicle crash. 

Delwood Williams, an 80 year old from Williamstown, was operating a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on the Black Horse Pike when he struck a pedestrian improperly crossing the Black Horse Pike. The pedestrian, Najee Ceaser, a 20 year old from Mays Landing, suffered serious bodily injuries. He was ultimately transported to AtlantiCare – City Division. Mr. Williams was not injured in the crash. 

Assisting at the crash scene was the Egg Harbor Township EMS, AtlantiCare ALS, and TriCare Medical. 

The crash is being investigated by Sergeant Edward Stearns and Officer Cody Ng of the EHT Police Traffic Safety Unit. The investigation is on-going at this time. Traffic was detoured in the area for approximately 3 hours while the scene was being investigated and cleared.
