The Somers Point Arts Commission is currently seeking artists and photographers interested in participating at their 10th annual Art in the Park on September 19, 2026. This day-long festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at JF Kennedy Park on Broadway in Somers Point overlooking the Great Egg Harbor Bay.
Art in the Park accepts traditional 2-D work in the following categories: Oil/Acrylic, Watercolor, Drawing/Pastels, Hand-Pulled Prints and Photography. Participation is $40 and interested artists can obtain an application by contacting somersptarts@gmail.com or Donna Mohr at 609-287-0408. All applications must be received by September 18. There is $1600.00 in cash prizes.
This day-long event features professional and amateur painters and photographers displaying and selling their works, as well as music, fun activities for children and grown-ups, and food/beverages for sale. Again this year we are happy to include an art display and activities that feature Art and Healing, presented by Shore Physicians Group. Art in the Park is free and open to the public. Kennedy Park provides handicapped parking.
Contributors to Art in the Park and Somers Point Arts Commission’s 2026 programs include Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The City of Somers Point, ERCO Ceilings and Interiors, Shore Physicians Group, and many other local businesses.
