Eleven years ago, a shy kindergartner walked through the doors of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. Today, this young woman stands among the most outstanding young leaders in America.
Aryiane Hill, a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, has been named the 2026 Northeast Youth of the Year by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Selected from the top Youth of the Year finalists across 12 states and territories, Aryiane now represents the entire Northeast Region and will advance to compete for the National Youth of the Year title this fall.
Along with this prestigious honor, Aryiane has earned a $20,000 college scholarship and the opportunity to represent millions of Club youth across the nation.

Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s highest honor. It recognizes young people who exemplify academic success, leadership, service, character and a commitment to creating positive change.
For Aryiane, this recognition is the result of years of perseverance, mentorship and growth.
As a Club member, she participated in Keystone Club, Junior Staff, leadership development programs, workforce readiness experiences and community service initiatives. She discovered her voice through public speaking opportunities, learned the value of service and developed the confidence to lead others.
This fall, Aryiane will attend Stockton University, where she plans to study political science and pursue a career as a criminal defense attorney.

When asked about her journey, Aryiane often reflects on the impact of her longtime Club mentor, Ms. Karen.
When she first arrived at the Club as a young child, Ms. Karen saw potential before Aryiane saw it in herself.
That encouragement became confidence.
That confidence became leadership.
That leadership became purpose.
And today, that purpose has inspired an entire region.
Aryiane’s success did not happen by accident. It happened because caring adults showed up, donors invested in opportunities and mentors believed in a young person before she believed in herself.
Every day at Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, young people are discovering who they can become through academic support, workforce development, leadership opportunities, STEAM education, mentorship and life changing experiences. Programs like Keystone Club, Youth of the Year, Center of Transformation, career pathways and college readiness initiatives help transform potential into possibility.
