Hamilton Township relaunched its Hometown Heroes Banner Program on Monday, March 9 with a larger footprint along Mays Landing streets. Established last year, sponsored banners honoring veterans were hung on utility poles along the town’s Main Street. This year, more banners will be hung on an increasing number of roads, enabling more residents to take part in the program.

The program honors current or former Hamilton Residents or their family members who have served or are serving our country in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Space Force (Army and Air National Guard included.

Hamilton Township is now accepting applications for the 2026 Hometown Heroes Banner Program on its website at Hamilton Township – Hamilton Township Hometown Heroes Banner Program

Banners are 24” X 48”. They include the name and photo of the service member, their military branch and the banner’s sponsor’s name. For 2026, banners will be hung from on or about Memorial Day through mid-November, at which time they will be taken down.
