On Friday night, Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City hosted a Sebastian Mansicalco impersonator contest at Nola’s Bar & Lounge in celebration of the comedian’s 8-night residency at Ocean’s Ovation Hall that kicked-off on Thursday night. Hosted by comedian Andrea Lopez, 6 comedians got on stage at Nola’s to perform their very best impersonation of the stand-up comic. A panel of judges – including Stand-Up Comedian, Actor & Podcast Host of The Pete & Sebastian Show Pete Correale, Executive Vice President Operations at Ocean Casino Resort Frank Ruocco, and founder of Tony Boloney’s and Mad Mutz Mike Hauke – chose Maniscalco’s “twin,” entertainer Mark Maggi, as the winner.
But, the biggest laughs of the night came when Maniscalco himself showed up to the contest to award the winner his prize, including two VIP tickets to his show later that night. Maniscalco appeared shocked by how much the Italian impersonator looked just like him!
Ocean has gone all-out for the Italian comic’s 8-nights of shows with unique activities across the property, including: a selection of Maniscalco’s favorite Italian dishes as specialty menu items available at Linguini by the Sea and Ocean Steak, specialty signature cocktails served up at all of the bars across Ocean – like Sebastian’s twist on the Manhattan and the LENAcello (like a lemoncello) named after his wife. A pop-up shop dedicated to Maniscalco merch, in addition to a Cannoli cart provided by the “The Cannoli Guy” and a second dessert cart serving slices of Mansicalco’s family’s secret cheesecake recipe.
