You get even funnier, of course!
AC Jokes, the hilarious resident comedy club at Resorts Casino Hotel, will celebrate its eighth anniversary in Atlantic City with perhaps its most powerhouse lineup yet. Offering a perfect balance of national headliners with rising stars, ACJokes won Best Comedy Club in 2024 and 2025 by Casino Player Magazine … which is why Producer/Comedian Ray Vazquez is turning up the heat even more on the Boardwalk this summer!
“This summer is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in ACJokes history,” Vazquez said. “We’re thrilled to be bringing such an amazing variety of talent to Atlantic City, and we’re only getting started.”
ACJokes, located on the Tower Conference Level in Resorts’ historic Screening Room where iconic “Goodfellas” Director Martin Scorsese once screened his movies, offers laughs Thursdays through Mondays until June 19, when it expands to seven days a week through August.
As always, AC Jokes offers 7 days of comedy in June, featuring resident comedians Ray Vazquez, Gary G. Garcia, Buda, Zach Pickett, and Greg Giraldo Jr. They also have a scheduled line-up of special guests, including:
Connor King, 7 p.m. Friday, June 6
If King sounds familiar, you probably saw him on Season 17 of “America’s Got Talent,” or maybe you are one of his more than 200,000 online followers who have helped him generate more than 100 million views for his stand-up videos. Whether it’s about the dating benefits of a bad childhood or the hottest way to take off a shirt, the West Philly native has his own brand of quick-witted and inappropriately insightful comedy. Helium and Punchline Philly regular Marcus Levar will feature for the night with Vazquez hosting.
Jerrold Benford, 9 p.m. Friday, June 6
A master of crowd work, Virginia’s Benford has a knack for connecting with the audience. That’s why he has amassed more than 875,000 TikTok followers as he continues to establish himself as a fixture on the Eastern comedy circuit. Benford started his career in the Garden State and quickly made a name for himself as he worked the best comedy clubs in New Jersey and New York, including Rascals, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, Gotham Comedy Club, and the renowned Caroline’s on Broadway. Gary G. Garcia, known for wild energy and off-the-cuff chaos, is also on the bill with Vazquez hosting.
Tata Sherise, 8 p.m. Saturday, June 14
When it comes to splitting sides, few are better in the tri-state area than Philadelphia’s Sherise, winner of the prestigious “Philly’s Phunniest” competition at Helium Comedy Club. Another rising star, Sherise has amassed millions of views for her stand-up online, and the Philadelphia Inquirer deemed her “The Next Hottest Comedian to Come Out of Philly!” Sherise will be joined by local fave Buda with Vazquez hosting.
Ritch Shydner, 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12
In the “Legends” category, Shydner stands out in this summer’s ACJokes lineup for his incredible comedic run. You couldn’t turn on a TV in the 1980s without seeing Shydner, who it up the small screen with featured spots on David Letterman, Johnny Carson, and Jay Leno. His HBO special “One Night Stand” is remarkable work, and he has also acted on sitcoms including “Married with Children” and “Roseanne,” and in films such as “Roxanne” with Steve Martin and “Beverly Hills Cop II” with Eddie Murphy. Known for his quick wit, Shydner has also written for sitcoms and comics including Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and Leno. He co-authored the book “I Killed,” created the documentary “I Am Comic” and is currently adapting Bill Maher’s “True Story” for HBO. Featured comics that night include: Helen Wildy, the Irish-born, Pittsburgh-based comic can be herd regularly on Sirius Radio and has opened for Dave Attell and Cameron Esposito; Ashley Gutermouth, known best for her podcast that has nearly 2 million followers and over a billion listens, shares viral content about military spouse life and appears in Amazon Prime’s “Office Joe”; and Vazquez will host.
Chris Covert, 8 p.m. Saturday June 28
Known for his witty humor and devilish grin, Covert has headlined in Las Vegas and all over the country, blending stand-up with over-the-top, over-the-line and over-the-edge musical comedy that will have you humming and chuckling all night long. Be warned: His next song could be about you! Covert has made appearances on The Howard Stern Show and has shared the stage with comedy legends such as Artie Lange, Rob Schneider and Nick DiPaolo. Vazquez will host.
Skillz Hudson, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5
From the South Side of Chicago, Hudson brings his high-energy, relatable humor to Atlantic City. A former salesman, Hudson has gone from a Denny’s bar stage to headlining clubs nationwide, including The Laugh Factory. His humor blends real-life experiences, fears and insecurities as the Bay Area Comedy finalist relates to audiences. Vazquez will host.
Justin Lamar, 8 p.m. Friday, July 11
If you are a regular of Philadelphia comedy clubs like Helium and Punchline, you undoubtedly know Lamar, who has an asterisk next to his name as a rising star. Lamar said he became a comedian to “tell stories about my life and what I observe in the most humorous way possible,” and boy, does he deliver!
Yoursie Thomas, 8 p.m. Friday, July 18
Thomas has been on the comedy circuit for nearly two decades. As a regular at the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles and a regular opener for Russell Peters, Thomas has performed with a veritable who’s-who of comedy, including Dane Cook, Robin Williams, Andrew “Dice” Clay, Kat Williams, Mike Epps and Bobby Lee.
Dominic Leonelli, 8 p.m. Saturday July 19
An Ohio-born comic chasing his comedy dream, Leonelli relays stories about everything from working at a car dealership for 10 years to scrubbing floors.
John Ovalles, 10 p.m. Saturday, July 19
Tapping into his Puerto Rican and Dominican heritage, Ovalles’ edgy but relatable comedy offers a great commentary on his life’s woes and triumphs with a diverse array of jokes ranging from family nightlife and dating to politics, religion and the supernatural… all while promoting love!
Christine Carolyn, 8 p.m. Friday, July 25
In the “Late Bloomer” category, Carolyn caught the comedy bug at 47, calling it her “midlife crisis moment.” By 48, she hit the stage with life stories and never looked back as she tours her stand-up act around the country while also acting and creating viral social media content Now a touring stand-up, actor, and content creator, Christine’s viral videos have lit up social media, and she’s stacked up acting credits along the way. Tommy Too Smoov, 8 p.m. Saturday Aug. 2
For one of the wildest shows of the summer, Tommy Too Smoov is a master of characters — Loui Loochiano, Jimmy JawJack, Feliciano Fernandez and Lula Mae Parker — who has been known to break out some costumes for each persona. A BET Comic View alum with a Prime special, “Me Myself and Us,” he’s hosted the Apollo Comedy Club, co-hosted Sunday Night Live at the Stress Factory for more than 17 years and has gone viral with more than 6 million views on The UNTOLD series. The always hilarious Zach Pickett, known for his rubber-face comedy with sharp mental observations, will feature along with Gary G. Garcia, an ACJokes regular known for his signature raspy voice and in-your face comedy; Vazquez will host.
Elijah The Barber, 8 p.m. Thursday Aug. 7
Real-life barber by day, stand-up comic by night, South Jersey’s own Elijah the Barber brings the clippers and punchlines for a “fresh” approach.
Terry McNeely, 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8
You might have heard this Long Island-born comic on The Anthony Cumia Show or maybe you saw him on The Daily Show or CBS’ Blue Bloods. Either way, McNeely could easily own the title as “Crass Critic to the Suburban World,” and you can see why when he hits the ACJokes stage.
Rob Stant, 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9
This Philly-based stand-up’s sharp, observational humor and hilarious takes on marriage, family and himself have earned him a big following on TikTok and Instagram. Known for roasting the crowd as much as himself, Stant keeps audiences laughing online and onstage. Catch his special “Bobby Boy” on YouTube and his podcast “Two in the Stink” on all streaming platforms.
