The first full moon after the solstice is incoming this week, along with several important planetary shifts that invite us to “stand still” like the sun just did, to be present, and to slow down to contemplate the path ahead as we approach the middle of the year. Numinous, mystical Neptune holds the cosmic mic with both challenging and supportive influence on the week’s events. Expect the energies to feel parts magical, mysterious, and ethereal. Extra solitude, rest, and quieting the mind may be required as the biennial occurrence of the sun squaring Neptune sets the tone on June 25 and then Mars shifts into a more slow-witted Gemini on June 28. On June 29, the moon’s day, the second Mercury retrograde of the year begins in the early afternoon and then the moon reaches fullness in Capricorn at 7:56 p.m., steadying us and holding the space for power in pause. Think back to mid-January when the moon was new in Capricorn and what may be reaching fruition now. One lovely way to be present and in the moment could be enjoying the moonrise!
The month closes out with gusto as jubilant Jupiter shifts into the zodiac sign Leo on June 30. The largest planet’s presence in the sun-ruled sign of self, radiance, and heart-centered creativity is a big, magnetic energy that will grace us personally and collectively until July 2027. Jupiter spends roughly one year in each zodiac sign, so themes from 12 years ago may begin to resurface.
