This week we’ll be treated to a planetary shift, a new moon, cosmic cooperation, and more visual stunners! The week starts with the beginning of the pre-retrograde shadow period for the next Mercury retrograde. It’ll be contained within the zodiac sign Cancer, so expect mindset and communication themes around home, family, nostalgia, safety, security, and emotional maturity to begin showing up somewhere specific in your life. A sufficiently nourished Venus squares off with Chiron before rising out of the primordial, Cancerian waters for the fire, flair, and warmth of Leo. The cosmic cooperation begins to unfold during the Gemini new moon on Sunday, June 14 (exact at 10:54 p.m.). Mercury reigns over the new moon from a now comfortable tread in Cancer, the moon’s sign. This creates a supportive dialogue between the two, adding extra buoyancy to the new moon’s energy. The now permanent co-presence of Uranus in Gemini electrifies and zaps the meetup of the sun and moon, making this a supercharged, powerful new moon with rare potential. Keep looking up at and after sunset as the waxing crescent moon joins Jupiter and Venus, dazzling the evening skies again as we head into mid-June.
Venus’s strides through the early Leo degrees complete a relatively rare cosmic configuration known as a cradle, which will culminate with Venus opposing potent Pluto by the end of the week on June 17.
