Rachael O’Brien of True Light Yoga, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, dignitaries and members of the business community joined Tuesday, May 27 for a ribbon cutting to officially celebrate the opening of the studio at 810 Asbury Avenue, Suite 205.
O’Brien has been teaching yoga in the area for over a decade. She offers students classes that “have a light energy.” She believes exercise should be empowering and fun and offers yoga and mindfulness in an enjoyable way for those who may have found yoga “boring” in the past. During the ceremony, Michele Gillian, Executive Director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, congratulated Rachael for opening her yoga studio, thanked her for investing in the downtown and wished her much success.
Mayor Jay Gillian led the countdown and O’Brien used giant scissors to cut the ceremonial ribbon to the applause of those gathered for the celebratory occasion.
