However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Here are many reasons why, as a buyer, you should disregard the myths and make a fall real estate purchase.

The real estate market starts to clear out as soon as the weather turns crisp. The majority of warm-weather buyers may have already found a home, meaning in some cases, as a fall buyer, you may have less competition for the available homes on the market that spark your interest.

Fall is the perfect time to house hunt. It is a wonderful time to get into your new home just in time to celebrate and enjoy it with the family for Thanksgiving and the holiday season. Sellers are delighted to have a quick closing, and as a buyer, you are able to use this time crunch to your advantage.

After settling on a new home, furnishing it is certainly next on your list. Fortunately, December proves to be an ideal time to purchase large-ticket items. According to Consumer Reports, appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers are at their cheapest. As a buyer, you can also snag great deals on furniture and home decor during end-of-year sales.
