Christina Martin

Chef Christina Martin is a culinary educator, writer, and advocate for healthy and sustainable living. She specializes in plant-based dishes that highlight local and seasonal ingredients. Christina teaches Culinary Arts at Absegami High School in Galloway, NJ, and serves as Vice President of the Professional Chefs Association of South Jersey. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business from Rowan University, studied at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, and earned her associate’s degree from the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape. Christina worked in kitchens across Philadelphia and the Jersey shore area. She is also a certified Macrobiotic Chef and holds a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from Cornell University. As a Shore Local columnist, Christina enjoys sharing stories that highlight farmers markets, seasonal produce, and local foods of South Jersey. She aims to inspire others to embrace the joy of cooking while prioritizing wellness and sustainability.
