Celebrate the season with a sweet and heartwarming afternoon at Sundaes with Santa and Friends, hosted by Laddie’s Legacy on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Brigantine Community Presbyterian Church, 1501 W. Brigantine Ave., Brigantine.
Families are invited to enjoy a magical mix of holiday fun, festive treats and furry friends — all while supporting a great cause.
The event features:
· DIY Ice Cream Sundaes: Create your own masterpiece with an array of toppings.
· Visits with the Absecon Veterinary Hospital Animal Therapy Team: Meet gentle, therapy animals including rabbits and dogs.
· Face Painting by Island Face Painting: Add some sparkle and spirit to your look.
· Photos with Santa (and the therapy animals): Capture a picture-perfect holiday moment to cherish all year.
The event is sponsored by Merck and the Brigantine Elks.

“Bringing people together for a good cause is what the holidays are all about,” said Cherie Scheurich, Laddie’s Legacy executive director. “It’s a joyful way to celebrate the season by giving back and providing a lifeline for pets and their families.”
Tickets are $15 per person and available online at www.laddieslegacy.org under “Events.” Sponsorships begin at $250; for details, contact Cherie at (609) 646-7013 ext. 127.
Since its founding in 2021, Laddie’s Legacy has provided financial assistance to help families afford veterinary care, ensuring that no pet is left behind due to financial hardship. The nonprofit was created in memory of Laddie, a beloved Maine Coon cat who was surrendered when his owner could no longer pay for his treatment. Today, the organization continues his legacy of compassion through fundraising events like Sundaes with Santa and Friends. For more information, visit www.laddieslegacy.org.
