Glamour Girls from the Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) held a pampering session for residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center in April. The students, studying cosmetology, provided manicures to residents. They also engaged in lively conversations and entertaining games with the seniors.
Such intergenerational initiatives are invaluable for fostering social bonds and companionship. They offer a chance for seniors and teenagers alike to forge connections, find meaning, and learn from each other’s experiences. The ACIT visits offer students a chance to practice the skills that they are learning.
