During the summer months there is an influx of visitors to Atlantic County parks, including Weymouth Furnace park, the site of the former Weymouth iron forge and paper mills near the intersection of Rt. 322 and Rt. 559 in Hamilton Township. Swimming is not permitted in the park, however, there is access to the Great Egg Harbor River for kayakers, canoers and tubers.

Visitors to the 11-acre park are reminded of limited parking. The on-site parking lot provides for a maximum of 20 vehicles. Once the lot is full, it is temporarily closed to any additional vehicles until a vehicle leaves and a parking spot becomes available. If the lot is full, visitors are allowed to unload before exiting the lot to find available parking elsewhere.

Additionally, trailers are not permitted to park in the lot and parking is not permitted on Weymouth Road.

The parking lot is operated and patrolled by the Atlantic County Department of Public Safety in cooperation with park management.
