The Gallery at the Ocean City Arts Center is pleased to present “Through the Frame: Photography by Diane George,” an exhibition featuring the work of Diane George. The exhibition will be on view from Oct. 2 through Oct. 28, with the public invited to a Meet the Artist Reception on Friday, Oct. 9, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission to the exhibition and reception is free. Location is 1735 Simpson Ave., 2nd Floor.
Diane George is a designer and educator whose passion for wildlife inspired her to pick up a camera. Trained as an architect and city planner and later as an elementary school educator and zoo docent, Diane developed a passion for documenting the natural world through photography. Her work has been shown in galleries and exhibitions nationally and internationally.
George says, “My passion for wildlife and the natural world led me to photography, allowing me to tell the stories and advocate for their survival in an ever-changing and rapidly developing world. I strive to capture the moment of connection between the subject and its environment. Nature is always in motion and my goal is to preserve those moments, allowing them to resonate with the viewer. “
The Ocean City Arts Center is located on the second floor of the Ocean City Community Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City, NJ. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Arts Center is closed on Sundays.
