Obituary For Patricia R. Dedera

Patricia R. Dedera, 84, of Northfield, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Atlantic City, NJ she was the loving daughter of the late Michael and Ruth (Smith) Alameno and the devoted wife of Joseph J. Dedera.

Pat went to Pleasantville High school, then went on to meet and marry Joe in May of 1960. Pat worked at Tony’s Sub Shop in Northfield for 25 years while Joe and her raised their daughters. Pat then went to work for B.F. Mazzeo’s as a cashier for 18 years until her retirement in 2012. Pat and Joe were avid antique collectors and often went on weekend trips to antique shows. She would also go out on Saturdays with her friends to yard sales and would always stop for lunch after. Pat loved beagles especially her dogs Penny and Ruby. The last several years she took a liking to Facebook. Pat possessed the positive qualities of strength, independence, a hard work ethic and a wicked sense of humor. Her daughters will always remember her as caring, funny and loving.

Pat will be forever missed and fondly remembered by her daughters Linda (Rob) Klersey and Diane Dedera fiancé of Joel Garrison. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Ruth (Smith) Alameno and her loving husband Joseph J. Dedera.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Pat’s Life Celebration Mass at St Gianna Beretta Molla Parish Roman Catholic Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225 on Friday July 31, 2026 at 11:00am. A visitation with the family will be held at the church from 10:00am until time of Mass. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat’s memory to Atlantic County Animal Shelter, 240 Old Turnpike, Pleasantville, NJ 08232 and/or Atlantic County SPCA, 334 Steelmanville Road, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234.
