Joseph Silva passed away, Monday, May 18, surrounded by the love of the family he spent his life building. He was 70 years a husband, a lifetime a father, and to everyone who knew him, a model of what a good man looks like.

Joseph and his wife Palmira shared one of those rare marriages that people quietly admire from across the room. Seventy years of partnership, patience, and devotion shaped not only their life together but the home they created for their children.

He worked hard, harder than most, and never once made a fuss about it. That was simply his way. He believed in providing, in showing up, in doing right by the people who depended on him. He was the pillar his family was built around, and the strength they will continue to draw from for the rest of their lives.

Joseph raised his children, Joseph M., Deborah, and Elaine, to be kind, principled, and strong. To his grandchildren, Michael and Sara, he was a steady source of love and the kind of grandfather whose presence made the world feel safe. In his great grandchildren, Sean, Christopher Joseph, and Hailey Palmira, his legacy lives on in the next generation, his name and his wife's name carried forward in love.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Manuel, and his beloved son, Joseph M.

He is survived by his cherished wife, Palmira; his daughters, Deborah and Elaine (John); his daughter in law, Phyllis; his grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth) and Sara; and his great grandchildren, Sean, Christopher Joseph, and Hailey Palmira.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A gathering will be held from 10-11 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11am on Friday May 22nd, at St John Chrysostom Parish- 617 S Providence Rd, Wallingford, PA 19086. Burial will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery- 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
