Obituary For Anna M. Stevenson (Priest)

Anna M. Stevenson (Priest), 91, of Egg Harbor City, was called to her Heavenly home on the morning of September 20, 2026 after a brief illness while surrounded by her family. A beloved matriarch, she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Anna was born on May 3, 1935 in Salem County to Walter and Virginia Priest and was a lifelong resident of New Jersey. She had a close bond with her seven siblings and will forever be cherished in their hearts. Anna was a devoted and selfless mother to seven children. She set an example of how to be a hard working provider while also maintaining a loving home environment. Her life has been marked by resilience and a deep sense of independence. Anna was a faithful member of Life Point Church in Galloway, NJ and never hesitated to share her love for Jesus with those she met along the way. Her family always knew that if the church doors were open she was there. She was famous for her cooking with some of her most adored dishes being homemade pasta, gravy, and meatballs, birthday cakes, pizzelles, and salads. Anna always prided herself on maintaining a perfect garden full of vibrant flowers and homegrown vegetables. She displayed her creativity through various handmade crafts, blankets, and clothing but Anna also loved taking long drives through the woods to soak in the nature surrounding her.

Anna is survived by her five siblings: Dorothy Adams, Julie Carabin, Louise Imperatore (Michael), Raymond Priest, and Joyce Marshall; her children: Mark Patten, Angelia Figueroa, Butch Patten, Brenda Conroy (Daniel), Annie Marez; seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Virginia Priest, her siblings Walter Priest Jr. and Virginia J. Golini, her children Virginia G. Foster and Michelle H. Fox, and her grandchildren Mark Patten and Chelsea Patten.

A viewing will be held at Wimberg Funeral Home in Egg Harbor City on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 10-11 am with a service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Egg Harbor City Cemetery followed by a celebration of life gathering at Life Point Church in Galloway.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Youth Ministry of Lifepoint Church.
