Mosaic, the nonprofit dedicated to supporting the quality of life for seniors, is calling on the community to help with updates to the Therapy Garden at Seashore Gardens Living Center (SGLC). Mosaic is asking for donations to refresh and enhance this special space. Items needed include flowers, wind chimes, solar lights, and bird seed. “The therapy garden is an extension of the healing process,” said Erin Luurtsema, Director of Philanthropy for Mosaic. “It offers a peaceful, natural setting where rehabilitation patients can work on mobility, balance, and sensory engagement in a calming environment. Whether they’re walking the path, tending to plants, or simply enjoying the fresh air, the garden supports both physical and emotional recovery.”
The garden has grown over the years through the generosity of donors, including the OceanFirst Foundation, Encore Rehabilitation, and the Life & Legacy/Jewish Federation Foundation. With the help of the community, it will continue to flourish as a space of peace and healing.
