Laura Idell, owner of Monkey Bread, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, dignitaries, and members of the business community joined Thursday, June 26, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the popular eatery at 972 Boardwalk.
Monkey Bread is a cross between a traditional cinnamon bun and a sticky bun and is a favorite treat among Ocean City visitors and residents alike. In addition to the sweet treat, customers can choose from tasty nutritious drinks and acai bowls.
Michele Gillian, Executive Director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, congratulated Idell, owner since 2011, for Monkey Bread’s milestone anniversary and for her commitment to the business community.
Mayor Jay Gillian led the countdown, and Idell cut the ceremonial ribbon to the applause of those gathered.
