Jamie Jarka is a Jersey Shore artist and K–6 art teacher best known as the creator of the beloved Milo the Seagull, a whimsical character quickly becoming a coastal favorite. Her artwork can be found at Stainton’s in Ocean City, Stainton’s on the Boardwalk, and Beachwood Trading in Smithville. From magnets and stickers to apparel, paintings, and murals, Milo is making his way all across the shore. Inspired by the places people cherish most along the Jersey coastline, Jamie’s work is bright, colorful, and full of coastal charm—always featuring plenty of seagulls, especially Milo himself.
