Marine Mammal Stranding Center to host spooktacular race for incredible cause

The Run for the Animals 5k Run/Mile Walk Will Support the Local Rescue & Rehab Organization

WHAT: The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is hosting a Halloween-themed 5k run/mile walk for a great cause! The Run for the Animals Spooktacular race will be held at The Cove in Brigantine on Saturday, October 12, and proceeds will benefit the MMSC, the only authorized rescue, rehabilitation and release facility for marine mammals and the authorized first responders for sea turtle strandings and disentanglements in the State of New Jersey. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes and can bring a dog to tag along! With options of a 5k run, one mile walk, or one mile walk with a pet, this event has something for everyone. Check-in is at 8am with the 5k run beginning at 9am and the mile walk beginning at 9:15am. Prizes will be awarded to the race winners as well as to the participants with the best costumes, and a continental breakfast and awards presentation will be held at The Cove immediately following the events.
