The Atlantic City Ballet’s spring season commences with ballet’s most famous love story, Swan Lake. Featuring the unforgettable corps de ballet moving in magical unison as the majestic, glimmering swans, this romantic fable of dreamlike transformation, set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score, inspires awe and wonder. In keeping with the theme of love, the ballet follows up with La Sylphide, which tells the story of an impossible love between a human and a spirit, and man’s inherent temptation for the unknown and sometimes dangerous life. The final ballet in this love trilogy is Coppelia. The story centers on a toy maker, a life size doll, a smitten villager and his fiancé. A charming tale, where toys come to life and the path to happily ever after takes a few detours. All of the ballet’s spring performances will be at the Circus Maximus Theater at Caesars in Atlantic City. An encore performance of Swan Lake will be held at The Strand theater in Lakewood.
