Knights of Columbus Council 9113 of Marmora hosts Holiday Helping Hand event

Knights of Columbus Council 9113 from Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Marmora, NJ  held their annual Holiday Helping Hand program on Saturday, December 21st.

Every year, the Knights partner with the United States Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” and local merchants on this successful venture. Local volunteer drivers deliver toys for the  children, as well as all the fixings needed for a delicious Christmas breakfast and dinner  including a turkey or chicken, stuffing, eggs, bacon, vegetables, cranberry sauce and  more to deserving families in Cape May County.

According to Knights of Columbus Grand Knight, Bob “Bam” Bamberger, “This year we  were able to make Christmas a little more special for over 80 families, that works out to  be about 300 people. This project takes months of planning and is very special to the  men of our council.”

Knights of Columbus Council 9113 is sponsored by Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish in  Marmora and meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the church hall at 7:30pm.
