Volunteers Needed to Support Food Collection Efforts
In recognition of the National Days of Jewish Service (NDJS), Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) invites community members to participate in two volunteer initiatives – Good Deed Day on April 6 and Mitzvah Monday on April 7.
On Sunday, April 6 from 9am to 2pm at the Acme Supermarket in Mays Landing, volunteers are needed to collect non-perishable food donations for the agency’s pantry. The following day, on Monday, April 7 from 9am to 12pm at JFS in Margate, volunteers will gather to sort and stock the collected food as well as assemble Passover and pantry bags for clients. These initiatives offer a rewarding opportunity for individuals, families, and businesses to volunteer and give back to the community.
Founded in 2007, Ruach Tova (“Good Spirit”), an Israel-based national volunteer center and part of The Ted Arison Family Foundation, Good Deed Day has grown into a global movement. Each year, volunteers from more than 115 countries unite to make a positive impact in their community and the world.
JFS welcomes volunteers of all ages. For more information or to sign-up, contact volunteer@jfsatlantic.org or 609.822.1108 x166.
