Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) is pleased to announce the expansion of its psychiatric services to assist Atlantic County residents through an agreement with Shore Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., owned by Inua Momodu, MD. Through this agreement, Dr. Momodu will provide psychiatric services to children and adolescent clients in outpatient therapy programs. In addition, he will offer psychiatry services to clients in intensive case management who require medication, but are not engaged in therapy services. This enhances the option for clients to receive both case management and psychiatry care within one agency.
“At JFS, we are pleased to secure a contract with Dr. Inua Momodu through his private practice. His exceptional career, vast knowledge, and compassionate approach will benefit JFS’ psychiatric services for current and future clients,” said Andrea Steinberg, Chief Executive Officer.
With Dr. Momodu’s expertise, JFS can mitigate barriers that often exist in case management and therefore, provide necessary psychiatric care to a traditionally underserved population.
For more than 17 years, Dr. Momodu has served as the proprietor of Shore Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. where he provides a full spectrum of ambulatory psychiatry services to children, adolescents, and adults. During this time, Dr. Momodu also worked at AtlantiCare where he managed all strategic and operational matters regarding behavioral health and substance use care. In addition, earlier in his professional career, Dr. Momodu was an integral part of JFS’ counseling team.
Dr. Momodu graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, with a Doctorate of Medicine. He also maintains a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tulane University in New Orleans, and a Master of Business Administration and Management from Stockton University. In addition, he is Board certified in Addiction Medicine and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Since 2022, Dr. Momodu has served as a Board Member for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention New Jersey Chapter. Last year, Dr. Momodu was presented with the NAACP Health Award.
