With generous support from the community, Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) was once again able to provide traditional Thanksgiving dinners to residents in need. During October and November, JFS collected donations which afforded the agency the opportunity to provide 725 families with complete Thanksgiving holiday meals.
JFS received contributions from community members as well as businesses, organizations, agency donors, and groups including Adam & Franci Steinberg, Atlantic City High School Red Cross Club, BAYADA Home Health Care, Conover-Swanson, Downbeach Deli and Restaurant, Eugene A. Tighe Middle School, Freedom City Bike Club, Fountain View at Logan Square, Fox Rothschild, Galloway Auto & Tire Center, Girl Scouts, Hartman Home Team, Hope & Keith Morgan, JCC Early Childhood, J.S. Goldstein Funeral Home and Monuments, Marjorie & Lewis Katz JCC, Law Offices of Melissa Rosenblum, Mainland Regional High School Cheerleaders, Mainland Regional High School Soccer Team, Margate Log Cabin, Merrill Lynch, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Oasis Property Group, ShopRite Supermarket of English Creek, St. Leonard’s Tract, Traci & Richard Werman, Visiting Angels, and William H. Ross III School who hosted collections to help put a turkey and side dishes on the table for many residents.

“This year, JFS received the most requests for Thanksgiving meals since we implemented this program many years ago,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer. “Thanks to the incredible support provided by businesses, organizations, community members and others, who donated to the annual turkey drive, we were able to accommodate every family who requested a Thanksgiving meal.”
