Jersey Cow is on the mooove

Business Buzz
By Rich Baehrle

Since the day the Jersey Cow opened at 1600 Tilton Road in Northfield in 2022, sales have exceeded all expectations.

Just go by in the summer, fall, and spring at any time from 1 p.m. to closing, and you will find lines of people looking to buy their favorite custom flavor. Jersey Cow even defies the notion that outdoor ice-cream businesses can’t survive in the winter. It’s open now and does very well. The demand is hot while the weather is cold.

What makes the Jersey Cow so popular? It’s the whole concept, from the total design of the building to the colors, the delicious product, and the positive attitude of their employees. The owners have invested a tremendous amount of time to carefully design a unique package. It truly looks like the business could be a national chain.

People rave about the product. They offer delicious proprietary flavors such as Nutty Nana, Bordeaux Cherry Chip, UBE, The Barn, Salted Caramel, and Cookie Monster, in addition to traditional flavors.

Brigantine location to open this spring

There are seasonal flavors, too, which rotate depending on the time of the year. Currently they have Chocolate Therapy, Cookie Butter, and PB&J. They taste as great as they sound.

Their newest product is ice cream pie. Once again, it’s the whole experience. Oh, did I tell you that they make all the ice cream on site?

The success of the Northfield location has been so great that the owners are taking their Jersey Cow show on the road to Absecon (610 Mill Road, in the former bank building) and to Brigantine (3307 W. Brigantine Ave., the former Aunt “B” ice cream). Each location is highly visible, and they offer a great opportunity for success as the Northfield location has proven.

Jersey Cow Brigantine is expected to open at the end of spring, so all of you fans will have some choices in the near future as to where to get your favorite flavors.
